You may be able to get up to 100% of the full New Zealand Superannuation (NZ Super) or Veteran’s Pension. It depends on the country you're going to.
- The amount of NZ Super or Veteran's Pension you can get is based on the number of months you’ve lived in New Zealand since the age of 20 up to a maximum of 45 years.
You must have lived in New Zealand for at least one continuous year since the age of 20 to get any payment.
Other benefits or payments
- If you get the Single living alone rate, Disability Allowance or an Accommodation Supplement, payments will stop from the day after you leave New Zealand.
