Pacific Employment Action Plan Fund
The Pacific Employment Action Plan Fund is for employment and training programmes by Pacific organisations. The fund is for programmes that upskill Pacific workers so they can get sustainable jobs, with higher wages, in high-growth sectors.
The Pacific Employment Action Plan Fund is currently closed to new applications.
What we were looking for
The Pacific Employment Action Plan Fund is for programmes that:
- are Pacific-focused
- are community-led
- create improved career pathways
- support the development of in-demand skills
- promote equity, inclusion, and wellbeing, and
- measure outcomes.
Pacific peoples are diverse and experience a range of barriers in the labour market. Programmes that connect with these groups are prioritised:
- Pacific women
- Pacific disabled people
- The Pacific Rainbow+ community
- Pacific parents, and/or
- Pacific youth.
Who could apply for the fund
You could apply if your organisation:
- is based and operating in New Zealand, and
- has at least:
- 50% Pacific ownership, if you’re a business, or
- 50% Pacific membership on your board if you’re a charitable trust.
You’ll also need:
- to be a legal entity
- to get social sector accreditation.

The fund was open to Expressions of Interest (EOI) from 18 September to 30 October 2023.
