How to find your Merchant ID

We need your Merchant ID when you're applying to be a registered supplier, or when you're changing your details with us.

We need this information if you'd like clients to be able to pay with a payment card.

Select which EFTPOS provider you use below.

EFTPOS NZ / Verifone

The Merchant ID is the Terminal number found on any Merchant Logon or Transaction receipt. The last four digits of the Terminal number are disregarded.

Example

Merchant Logon receipt:

Transaction receipt:

Merchant ID is 93787220

Paymark/ETSL

The Merchant ID is the Terminal number found on any Merchant Logon or Transaction receipt. The last two digits of the Terminal number are disregarded.

Example

Merchant Logon receipt:

Transaction receipt:

Merchant ID is 019898

If you ask your Paymark/ETSL provider, they may give you an eight digit number. In this case, disregard the first two digits. For example, if Paymark gave you the number 10019898, your Merchant ID will be 019898.

You can double check the number that you get from Paymark against either your Merchant Logon or Terminal receipt, as per the above examples.
