Hi. Your child is turning 3. Talk to your childcare centre about 20 hours ECE. Go to workandincome.govt.nz/text for more info. Work & Income

The Government funds up to 20 hours a week of Early Childhood Education (20 Hours ECE) for children aged 3-5 years attending an Early Childhood Education service.
You can choose between receiving 20 Hours ECE, the Guaranteed Childcare Assistance Payment (GCAP) or a combination of both payments. Families cannot receive 20 Hours ECE and the GCAP for the same hours.

You should tell us straight away if your child is receiving 20 Hours ECE as we may need to adjust your GCAP. This is so we can make sure you are getting the right amount of the GCAP and ensure you don't miss out on any payments or end up getting too much and have a debt to pay back. If you need to more information contact your Youth Service provider if you have one, otherwise contact us

If your text message says "You can review this decision", you can ask us to review this decision if you don't agree with it.

You need to do this within 3 months of getting the text message. When there is a good reason for delay, a review may be possible after this time. If you wish to discuss this, contact your Youth Service Provider if you have one, otherwise contact us

Hi. Your payments will stop from [date] because you didn't [reason]. Talk to your provider within 5 working days if you had a good reason for not doing this or to dispute/review this decision. Go to workandincome.govt.nz/text for more info. Work & Income

The weekly allowance [and incentive payments, if you are receiving these] being paid into your bank account will stop because you didn't meet your obligations. This will not change unless you:
  • had a good reason for not doing this activity or
  • can now do this activity or
  • do an approved activity which is the same or similar to the one you failed.
Contact your Youth Service provider if you have one, otherwise contact us You can see any changes to your payments online through MyMSD.

Hi. Your payments will stop from [date] because you didn't [reason]. Talk to your provider within 5 working days if you had a good reason for not doing this or to dispute/review this decision. Go to workandincome.govt.nz/text for more info. Work & Income

Your Youth Payment will stop as this is the third time you have not met your obligations. This will not change unless you:
  • had a good reason for not doing this activity or
  • can now do this activity or
  • do an approved activity which is the same or similar to the one you failed.
Contact your Youth Service provider if you have one, otherwise contact us about this. You can see any changes to your payments online through MyMSD.

Hi. You didn't [reason] so we will stop managing your money and your payments will reduce by 50% on [date]. Talk to your provider within 5 working days if you had a good reason for not doing this or to dispute/review this decision. Go to workandincome.govt.nz/text for more info. Work & Income

We will stop managing your money. That means any living expenses like rent and power that we were paying for you will stop, so you will need to make arrangements to pay these expenses yourself. We will also reduce your Young Parent Payment by 50%, so you will only get half of your Young Parent Payment into your bank account. The reason this has happened is because you have failed to meet your obligations for a third time.
