Jobseeker Support - single with no children - deduction tables

Use this table to estimate how much will be deducted from your Jobseeker Support payment if you're single with no dependent children.

Your deductions

You can earn up to $160 a week (before tax) before it affects your payments.

Once you earn over $160 a week (before tax), your payment reduces by 70 cents for every extra $1 of income you earn. We calculate this by taking your total income, minus 160, then multiply by 0.7.

Any other payments you get, e.g. Accommodation Supplement, may also be affected.

If you earn over a certain amount, you won't qualify for Jobseeker Support. We call this the 'Gross weekly income cut-out point'.
