Change to the reason you get a childcare payment
If the reason you get a childcare payment changes, eg your health improves, your child leaves hospital or you're no longer working or training, you must tell us straight away as it can affect how much childcare we pay.
What you need to tell us about
You need to tell us if:
- you're no longer studying or working
- your health improves
- your child leaves hospital.
How to tell us
- Complete the Childcare Assistance - Change of circumstances form (you'll need to complete a form for each child)
- Get your childcare provider to sign the form.
- If you or your partner are studying, your education provider will also need to sign it.

You can get your application form and proof of costs to us by either:
- uploading them to MyMSD (you'll need to call us first)
- dropping them in to your nearest service centre, or
- posting them to your nearest service centre.
