We can help you get a new job and support you between jobs. You don't have to wait until your job finishes, we can start helping you right away.
Contact us, even if no decisions have been made yet. We'll do our best to help you keep your current job. If that's not possible, we'll help you get a new job as soon as possible.
Worried about losing your job
If you're struggling at work or worried you might lose your job, we can help. Tell us what's going on and we'll create a tailored plan to help you keep your job or find a new one.
Lost your job
Losing your job can make it hard to feel secure or confident about the future. We can help by giving you a tailored service to support you and your whānau before and after you've lost your job.
You'll work with one of our team who will:
- get to know you
- keep in touch regularly
- look for jobs or training opportunities for you
- connect you to employers
- organise interviews
- help you update your CV and cover letter
- organise any financial support you need while you're between jobs.

Being made redundant can make it hard to look for a new a job. These services can make life easier and give you confidence:
Financial help to start a new job
You can apply for a Transition to Work Grant. This is to pay for things you need to find or start a job, such as clothes, travel, living expenses until your first pay and other things.
Financial support between jobs
You may be able to get a benefit or payment from us to help with expenses while you’re between jobs.
Benefits we offer:
- Jobseeker Support, if you're looking for work or can't work right now
- Sole Parent Support, if you're a single parent looking for part-time work or getting ready for future work
- Supported Living Payment, if you have a significant health condition, injury or disability which means suitable work is unlikely within the next 2 years.
