Find construction training and jobs with our Jobs and Skills Hubs. They're available in Auckland, Tairawhiti, Hawke's Bay and Lower Hutt.
Virtual Reality
Use a Virtual Reality headset to experience what it’s like to work in industries that are hiring now. You can also get a SiteSafe Foundation Passport, Security Certificate of Approval, or Tourism Customer Service certificate.
It's available at some service centres. Text 'VR' and your name and address to 590 to make an appointment.
Digital Passport: digital technology training
Learn digital skills online, at your own pace, whenever you want. There's 3 levels of learning, from basics like emails through to the latest AI tools.

16,000 online courses for things like management, technology, marketing or running a small business. It’s free if you have a Work and Income client number.

My Skill - Healthcare training for SLP carers
Free online training for Supported Living Payment carers to get a Level 2 caregiver certificate. Study at your own pace so you can balance training and caring.
My Skill – Online caregiver training
Start a rewarding career in healthcare. You can get a Level 2 NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing, and find healthcare jobs near you. It’s free if you’re getting a benefit.

Skills for Industry
Short-term job-focused training in industries like hospitality, agriculture, childcare, aged-care and retail. Get entry-level training, help to get a job, on-the-job training, and help to get a qualification.

A life-changing 6-week course for young people, run by the New Zealand Defence Force. Meet and work with new people, learn life skills, get fit and healthy, overcome challenges and get practical and personal support.
