Find out if you can get NZ Super or Veteran's Pension
Answer the following questions to check if you may meet the criteria for NZ Super or Veteran's Pension.
Add your time together
Now add together your time:
- in NZ from age 20, and
- from the SSA country from age 20.
This needs to add up to the total number of years you need to meet the residence criteria.
Remember, you used the table to work out the total based on your date of birth. It's between 10 and 20 years from age 20. This must include 5 years from age 50 (you can use your time in the SSA country for the 5 years too).
