What we can do for 16-19 year olds
We offer a number of services for young people to help improve skills through education, training, work or other related activities
What we offer:
Help to study, train or learn new skills
Help finding a job
- under 18 and not in full-time education contact a Youth Service provider to discuss your options
- over 18 contact us we can offer career guidance and help you find a job that’s right for you.
We may be able to help you with some of the costs of looking for work and attending interviews.
If you're struggling to find a job talk to us about your options. We may be able to help you get work experience or training.
Help getting work experience
The more skills you have, the better your chances are of getting the job you want. We may be able to help you get work experience.
If you can’t find work straight away, you may like to consider gaining work experience and learning new skills by doing voluntary work. We can offer you opportunities and put you in touch with suitable projects.
Help moving into a job
We understand that for some people starting a new job isn’t always easy. We want to support you while you settle into work and may be able to help you with some initial job costs.
Help when leaving school or home
Help with childcare
We may be able to provide financial help if you’re looking after a child.
