Your RealMe login
RealMe login is a secure service that gives you a single login to use for many online services. You can choose to use this to log in to MyMSD, instead of using a PIN.
To create a RealMe login, you'll need:
- an email address
- a mobile phone number
- to give some basic details (e.g. your name).
From 29 June 2026, if you log in to MyMSD using RealMe, you also need to enter either a:
- 6-digit code sent to you by text message, or
- code from the Google authenticator app.
How to create a RealMe login
If you have to create a RealMe login you need to:
- select 'Create your RealMe login' on the RealMe login page. To set this up, you'll need:
- an email address
- your mobile phone number (that hasn't been registered with RealMe before)
- enter some basic profile information
- add second factor authentication by entering either the:
- 6-digit code sent to you either by text message from 2388 (valid for 5 minutes)
- code from Google Authenticator app on your smartphone or tablet.
RealMe verified identity
You don't need a RealMe 'verified identity' to log in to MyMSD.
However, you might want to set one up in the future. It will mean you can prove who you are to any organisation that uses RealMe.
You don't get the RealMe text code
When you log in with RealMe, a 6 digit code will be sent to the mobile number that's registered to your RealMe account.
If you've changed your mobile number, you need to update this information on your RealMe account.
