Voice Verification Privacy Statement

The (voluntary) Voice Verification service allows quick and secure verification of your identity by using the unique qualities of your voice. When you register with the Voice Verification service it creates from your voice a unique mathematical algorithm which is held by Work and Income.

The purpose of recording the unique algorithm is to provide a swift, secure, and reliable verification of your identity, which removes the need for the usual verification questions from a Work and Income customer service representative.

We are committed to protecting personal information.  We will hold personal information securely.  Please note that personal information that we hold may be released to external organisations if we think it is necessary, and is allowed by law.

You can ask to see and correct personal information we hold about you by contacting us on 0800 559 009.
