When you call us please have your client number ready. You’ll find this number on letters from us or on your Community Services Card. We may also ask for other personal details to make sure we have the right information in front of us while we talk with you.

Get a one-time password for My Account

Call us to get your one-time password – don’t call RealMe. We’ll need to know your mobile phone number so we can text your one-time password to you.

You don’t need a one-time password to apply online for financial assistance or NZ Super.

If you have registered your voice with us you can get your one-time password automatically. Otherwise when you call, we’ll need to:

  • identify you (to make sure we’re talking to the correct person)
  • ask you to provide your current cell phone number and email
  • ask you to provide your Community Services Card number if you have one, or previous ID card number that you’ve provided us before (eg driver’s license, 18+ card, passport).

You can also visit us and bring your Community Services Card or identification that you’ve given us before.

Your one-time password is sent from 2422 and is made up of numbers, uppercase and lowercase letters, and symbols.

Remember that your one-time password is case-sensitive and valid for 14 days. If you haven't set up your My Account after 14 days you'll need to request a new one-time password.

Help with Online Services

If you want to cancel your appointment, report your wages or hours of work, cancel your benefit, or tell us you’re going overseas, you can do these and more online using My Account.

If you want to check what you might be entitled to or apply online for financial assistance you can do this using our Online Services.
