Presbyterian Support Upper South Island

Presbyterian Support Upper South Island (PSUSI) operates throughout the Upper South Island and offers a range of wrap around services to help families flourish and function well.

PSUSI is an approved provider under section 396 and 403 of the Child and Young person and their Families.

Staff are trained in a variety of parenting programmes, including Triple P, Toolbox, Incredible Years, Parents as First Teachers and Parenting in Action. Courses focus on family members developing good relationships based on warmth and caring. They give families the tools they need to enjoy life, and become stronger and more hopeful together. This includes understanding each others' development and needs, communicating well, managing challenges and staying safe and healthy. There is a mix of practical skills building and sharing with others in the group. Courses are always interactive and adapted to be responsive to the needs of people taking part.

Some courses are delivered though residential facilities, such as Holly House, or in collaboration with other providers. Programmes can be adapted and delivered through one-on-one interventions if required.
