Applications for the Extraordinary Care Fund are open now
21 May 2018.
If you’re getting Orphan’s Benefit or Unsupported Child’s Benefit, and you're caring for a child showing promise or having trouble in a particular area, you can apply to get extra help for them from the Extraordinary Care Fund.
Helping children reach their potential
Is a child in your care showing promise academically, musically or in sports? Or maybe they’re having trouble in a particular area, and would benefit from some extra support?
You may be able to get some extra help from the Extraordinary Care Fund.
The Extraordinary Care Fund provides additional financial support for children you get Orphan’s Benefit or Unsupported Child’s Benefit for.
The Fund has helped more than 3,000 children develop their skills and talents, and it could help the child in your care too.
Some of the things it can help with are extra tuition, swimming lessons, orthodontic treatment, teacher aides and technology. Even representative sports events, equipment or uniforms can get funding.
How to apply
Applications are open now and close on Friday 22 June. This is the first of three funding rounds for this year.
