Gym and swimming pool fees
Disability Allowance is generally not paid for exercise activities, such as at a gym or swimming pool.
However, Disability Allowance can be paid for gym or swimming pool fees when the exercise activities:
- are directly related to a persons disability and will have a therapeutic value and
- is an additional cost due to the person’s disability and
- are supported by a medical practitioner and
- are provided or supervised by a registered health professional
