Residing in Canada, Ireland or Denmark

You may be able to get up to 100% of the full New Zealand Superannuation or Veteran’s Pension. The amount you’ll get is based on the number of months you’ve resided in New Zealand between the ages of 20 and 65. You must have lived in New Zealand for at least one continuous year since the age of 20 in order to get any payment.

If you get the Living Alone Payment, Disability Allowance or an Accommodation Supplement, these payments will stop from the day after you leave New Zealand.

Residing in Greece, Jersey or Guernsey

You may be able to get up to 100% of the full New Zealand Superannuation or Veteran’s Pension. The amount you’ll get is based on the number of years you’ve lived in New Zealand since the age of 20 up to a maximum of 40 years.

You must have lived in New Zealand for at least one year since the age of 20 in order to get any payment. If you’re going to reside in Greece the year of residence must be continuous.

If you get the Living Alone Payment, Disability Allowance or an Accommodation Supplement, these payments will stop from the day after you leave New Zealand.

Residing in the Netherlands

You may be able to get up to 100% of the full New Zealand Superannuation or Veteran’s Pension. The amount you’ll get is based on the number of years you’ve lived in New Zealand since the age of 20 up to a maximum of 45 years. You must have lived in New Zealand for at least one year since the age of 20 in order to get any payment. If you were 65 years of age or older on 1 November 2003 the way your payment is calculated differs.

If you get the Living Alone Payment, Disability Allowance or an Accommodation Supplement, these payments will stop from the day after you leave New Zealand.
