OSCAR for families

If you are looking for a fun, safe place for your children to go before school, after school, or during the school holidays, ask us about OSCAR.

OSCAR (Out of School Care and Recreation) programmes offer a supervised, learning environment where your children can socialise, play, and enjoy a range of recreational activities.

OSCAR programmes that have Ministry of Social Development approval meet certain safety and quality standards.

If you choose a programme that has Ministry of Social Development approval, you might be able to get the OSCAR Subsidy to help with your costs.

To get the OSCAR Subsidy your income needs to be under a certain limit:
