We offer a range of programmes which help people actively participate in their communities, while increasing their confidence, motivation and skills.
Enhancing Work and Income's response to people who are experiencing family violence.
Assisting young people as they transition from school to further education, training, work or other activities that contribute to their long-term independence and wellbeing.
As part of Budget 2009, there will be no new grants for Enterprising Communities projects from 1 July 2009. This means there will be no new funding approved from 28 May 2009. Over 80 community groups will continue to receive our support for their project.
Support for projects that benefit the environment or communities, while giving people work skills and experience which improve their chances of finding employment.
Helping communities to complete projects and provides opportunities for people to develop and maintain their confidence, motivation and skills.
A subsidy to help employ young people on projects that benefit the community or the environment.
Funding to develop or run before school, after school, or holiday programmes young people.

This is a multi-year plan to build strong, sustainable and more effective community-based services for families, children and young people. At its core is the strong, supportive working relationship between government and the community sector.
