Help for new employees
When you employ someone through us, we’ll work with you to help you retain the valued employee you need.
We realise that some staff benefit from having extra support while they settle into their new job. We offer a personalised In Work support service which helps resolve issues your new employee may have. It aims to get the best possible outcome for employers and employees.
Some employees may be able to have their wages and training costs subsidised.

If your business employs over 50 staff we may be able to help you retain employees who might otherwise be facing redundancy.
An allowance to supplement the income of employees who have accepted reduced hours to retain their jobs.

Help for disabled employees
Disabled people or people with ill health may be able to get extra assistance that makes it easier for them to get work, stay in work or get training.
Your employees may be able to get help with extra costs such as:
- workplace modifications and special equipment
- mentoring and job coaching
- physical support
- special equipment
- additional costs of transport or parking
A grant that helps pay for workplace changes or equipment.

Workbridge administers support funding on behalf of Work and Income. This funding can be used to help with additional costs directly relating to a person's disability when entering training, a job or self employment.
