List a job opening
If you want to list your vacancy on our Find a job service you can either complete the:
and either:
- email it to: employer_services@msd.govt.nz
- fax it to: 0800 551 115
- post it to: PO Box 30757 Lower Hutt
Or you can:
- call Employer Line: 0800 778 008
we'll discuss your needs or arrange a visit if required - email employer_services@msd.govt.nz
Please note that we reserve the right to decline to list a vacancy.
What we need to know
When you contact us, we will ask for:
- details about your vacancy and the kind of person you are looking for
- information about your business to help us identify your staff requirements
- an idea of how many applicants you would like to see for each position (we recommend three or four).
What happens next?
Once your vacancy has been listed, we'll:
- start searching our database for suitable people
- give you an indication of how long the job search is likely to take
- keep you up to date on the progress of our search and check that your requirements haven't changed
- arrange interview times to suit you.
You conduct the interviews and decide who you want to hire. You don't have to hire anyone if you don't want to.
Appointing someone
When you hire someone you need to negotiate the terms and conditions of the job with that person. Please let us know when you've made your decision, after you have informed the successful and unsuccessful applicants.
