Earthquake Support Subsidy: Repayments For Employers and Sole Traders

If you have received an overpayment of Earthquake Support Subsidy or have since received insurance payments to cover loss of wages, you need to repay the subsidy.

Cheque

  1. Write a cheque for the amount repayable to "Ministry of Social Development"
  2. Write "ESS67062" and the IRD number you used on the application form on the back of the cheque
  3. Send the cheque to:
    National Accounting Centre
    Private Bag 3050
    Rotorua 3046

Direct credit

If you wish to pay by Direct Credit/Internet Banking you should make payment to the following Westpac account:

03 0049 0005363 26
 Particulars = "ESS67062"
 Reference = IRD number you used on your application
