Our Vision
We know that many people we serve have a wider range of needs than just the support they get from Work and Income. We want to do better for the people we work with by working together with other agencies both government, non‑government and community groups, rather than sending people off to find help by themselves.
Community Link is a place where:
- agencies work together in a joined up way
- working together, co-operation and co-ordination are valued
- the client is at the centre
- people are known by their name
- people feel comfortable
- it’s easier for people, their families and communities to access the help and support they need
- working together is flexible and adaptable
- resources are shared
- communities are encouraged to own it.
Each Community Link will differ in the range and offerings of partners.
While Community Links may have a similar look and feel nationally, they are intended to adapt to meet the needs of the community. The communities who use the services will shape the type of services housed in their Community Link.
