Our services
The Invercargill Community Link is proud to offer a broad range of services to address the social and financial needs of those in the community. The services available within the Invercargill Community Link include budget advice, literacy, legal and health services.
By connecting the members of the community, from young people through to seniors, to a more collaborative and co-ordinated service their financial and social needs are addressed more effectively.
By working in a joined up way and taking a focused approach, the Invercargill Community Link has established strong working relationships with all partners.
Our partners
Invercargill Community Link partners include:
- Age Concern Southland - your local Age Concern is your first port of call when you and your family/whanau need: information, advice, referral and support
- Barnardos – provides a range of care, education and support services developed specifically for New Zealand children and their families
- Child, Youth and Family – provides support and protection for children, young people and their families
- Footsteps poutama – is an early childhood education service that provides caregiver support to enrich babies’ and children’s learning and development
- Inland Revenue Department – provides information about Working for Families Tax Credit and Child Support
- Jubilee Budget Advisory Service – provides a free and confidential budget service with individuals and families. Educational workshops are also available
- Number 10 – Southland – provides health, social services, youth activities and youth voice leadership group to young people aged between 10 and 24 years
- Senior Services – supports older people through provision of financial assistance and connection to services, support and opportunities
- Southern Adult Literacy Inc – provides assistance to adults to improve basic literacy and numeracy skills at no cost to the learner
- Southland Community Law Centre - provides information, assistance, advice, law related education, representation (district court) and law reform, at no cost
- StudyLink – ensures that students get the finance and support they are entitled to so they can complete their study
- Supporting Families Southland – provides support, advocacy and education to families/whanau affected by mental health and/or drug and alcohol related issues
- Work and Income – provides help to get a job and income support
- Workbridge - provides a professional employment service for people with disabilities, injury or illness.
