Our services
Gore Community Link is proud to offer a range of services to the residents of Gore and surrounding districts that are as unique and diverse as their community is. The partners of the Community Link are committed to providing co-ordinated services to ensure that all clients, from young people through to seniors, have their financial and social needs addressed as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Our partners
Gore Community Link partners include:
- Careers New Zealand (Mana Rapuara Aotearoa) – provides career guidance, information, advice and job search coaching using phone and web technologies
- Child, Youth and Family – provides support and protection for children, young people and their families
- Community Probation Services - manages community-based sentences and orders and provides information and reports to judges and the New Zealand Parole Board to help in sentencing and release decisions
- Footsteps poutama – is an early childhood education service that provides caregiver support to enrich babies and children’s learning and development
- Gore and Districts Budget Advisory Service – assists with money problems and promoting good money management
- Gore Counselling Centre – provides a wide range of counselling, therapeutic, and educational services
- Gore Women’s Refuge Inc.– provides 24 hour crisis line, emergency accommodation, community and outreach services, information and advice, women and children's education programmes, referral service and support to attend appointments
- Hokonui Runanga Health and Social Services Trust – provides health plans, advocacy work, mediation, mentoring, and Iwi support services
- Housing New Zealand Corporation – provides housing, home ownership loans and education for those on lower incomes
- Inland Revenue Department – provides information about Working for Families Tax Credit and Child Support
- Senior Services – supports older people through provision of financial assistance and connection to services, support and opportunities
- Te Iho Awhi Rito Social Services - promotes safe, informed and confident whanau by acknowledging the diverse Hapu and Iwi communities through social work and youth work services
- The Salvation Army Gore Corps – offers a wrap-around service that is outworked in holistic care. Community Ministries provide a food bank, along with budgeting services, cooking classes, pastoral and counselling care, networking and referral to appropriate agencies
- Work and Income – provides help to get a job and income support
- Work’n it out – a youth transition service for school leavers aged 15 to 19 years to support them into employment, education or training.
